So, I may be too detail oriented, but why would a star, seen from a planet, grow from a pea to an orange in the sky during a day? It rises and sets within what we would call a day. Wouldn’t that mean its planet travels around it in a elongated, very fast, orbit? Like a day is basically a year?

The Solus Project, you better have an explanation for that! No artistic freedom would explain it. Atmospheric distortion, perhaps? Aliens made an illusion of a sky that’s not there? I want to know! Yes, I’m hoping it’s part of the mystery!
